Behind the Stitches at LoomLove

Every handmade piece tells a story.

Sometimes it begins with a colour combination that feels impossible to ignore. Sometimes it starts with a student saying, “I have always wanted to learn crochet.” Other times, it begins with a half-finished project that simply needs a little encouragement.

LoomLove was created as a space where crochet could feel welcoming, creative and connected.

Preparing for a Crochet Class

Before each class, the workspace is prepared with hooks, yarn, sample pieces and simple patterns.

Choosing the right materials is an important part of the preparation. Beginner students need yarn that is comfortable to hold and easy to see, while intermediate students may work with more detailed patterns, colour changes or shaping techniques.

Each class is designed to give students enough guidance while still allowing room for creativity.

Welcoming New Beginners

Many students arrive feeling nervous because they have never held a crochet hook before.

The first lesson often begins with the basics:

Outside the classroom, LoomLove also creates handmade crochet pieces.

Every item requires time, planning and attention to detail. From selecting yarn to joining the final pieces, the process cannot be rushed.

That is what makes handmade work special. No two pieces feel exactly the same, and each one carries the time and care of the maker.
